Greetings and a warm Scottish welcome to you.
Meet Our Team
As well-seasoned volunteers in the Mid-South since July of 2006, the Madison Scots offer genuine support in educating the public with an authentic focus on the heritage of Scotland. This group is no longer affiliated with the Celtic Society of West Tennessee.
The Madison Scots possess a very knowledgeable base of experience along with a national & international repertoire that enables our group to organize Scottish events and seminars that are educational, inspirational, and family oriented. We are an Advisory Board of skilled volunteers that work together diligently for wage-less rewards.
The Madison Scots are a fund of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation. Donations to help support our cause are tax deductible.
Throughout the years of our volunteer work, Scotland's rich and diverse history has grown into becoming the singular basis of our outreach. The Scots & Scots-Irish people were grouped into numerous regional Family Clans that mingled and fought their way to freedom for over a thousand years. The individuals in our group are descendants of those Family Clans. Together we exist as an organization to provide the public with a way to truly experience the cultural heritage of the Scots and Scots-Irish peoples.
The many wonderful participants that have worked with us personally in past events have traveled from within Tennessee, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Ireland, and Scotland. This characterizes a certain faith in our reputation from a broad spectrum around the United States and other countries.
Additionally, it has long been a structural belief of each individual in our group to foster awareness and funding for community charities. Each event that we organize is multifaceted in its effect to help support the community. Since 2006, we have organized events to help raise awareness and funding for R.I.F.A., Habitat for Humanity, and Youth Town. We've also established fundraising opportunities for local college students and youth organizations and for cultural Scottish Seminars to take place within our local school system.
Our duties in the Mid-South region are to organize & promote cultural and educational venues that exhibit the Performing Arts, Ancestral Genealogy, Craftsmanship, Unique Merchants, Cuisine, and History of Scotland.

Enjoy listening to the music of William Jackson. He is a world renowned Celtic music artist and is significantly accomplished in compositions, arrangements, and recording. His music has been featured on History Channel documentaries and several highly rated movies throughout his career. The musical piece that you're hearing now, "The Bannock Burn", is his own creation, composed for each individual instrument performing it in ensemble.
Thank you William, for allowing us to use this wonderful piece of your music on our website.
